HUMILITY Humility is strength. The world, the
evil, is forever striving to bring the worst out in us;
to build up the false self; to bring us to and keep us
seeing, esteeming, and trusting in vanity. True humility
isn't a passive state but an active endeavor to seek,
attain and maintain God's truth, God's right, in our
lives as much as possible.
It is a work of grace. A work
of grace is this: By mercy and truth iniquity is purged.
(Proverbs 16.6)
There is no way to God, to the
Father, but through Christ and no foundation can any man
lay but Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians chapter 3) And
according to 1 Corinthians chapter 3 let every man be
careful how he builds thereon, for every man's works
shall be tried by fire. If we build true works upon our
salvation we shall receive reward. If we build false
works upon our salvation they shall be burned, yet we
shall be saved; yet, as it were by fire.
Let a work of grace work in
your life. Pray to that end; for the best thing that you
can do for yourself, your loved ones, and your neighbor
is to seek and pursue that which is right in God's eyes,
whatever that might be. It doesn't matter who it is, or
what your circumstance, or what the appearance of things
might be. Ask God for that right in your life. Seek and
pursue it. God can guide you and Christ can save you.
According to scriptures Christ stands at the door and
knocks. If you open the door he will enter in and sup
with you.
But there is a false
humility
That masks a subtle, spiritual pride
Beneath which is
fear, and ignorance, and selfishness
Wherein a man sows unto the flesh
And not unto God.
Be in love, not with the things of this world,
But with the word of God
There is no higher aim, no greater purpose in
life than this.
A man once said that in the long run a man
usually hits what he aims for.
Always let your journey begin at the foot of the
cross.
And don't be so much a product of your culture
But more a child of God. |
