CHRIST'S CHURCH OF THE ARK            SALVATION AND NONCONFORMITY

INTRODUCTION
No God, no hope. No right, no God. Jesus said, "Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness." If you do not hunger and thirst after righteousness then these pages will not appeal to you. But if you do, they will. God in the Old Testament commanded his people telling them, "That which is altogether just shalt thou do." Paul, in the New Testament said, "Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure... think on these things." To the end that we might eschew the evil and embrace the good.
But what is the good? What is justice? Jesus rebuked the scribes and Pharisees of his day. One rebuke was that they taught for doctrine the traditions of men, making the word of God of none effect. Custom and tradition do not necessarily a right make. An honest soul  must question every custom, every tradition before God in prayer and against the scriptures. Else, in wrongly interpreting, you end up serving devils more than God.
The churches, even the born-again churches, are steeped in what I believe is the dressed up evil of this day. Paul the apostle stated in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 that no foundation can any man lay but Jesus Christ. But let every man be careful how he builds thereon. For every man's work shall be tried by fire. If he builds good works he shall receive reward: If bad works they shall be consumed by fire. He himself shall be saved, yet, as it were by fire.
Hence, a purgatory. Yet, if a man were to honor the Lord his God he would not abuse the grace under which he lives, but use it: In order that by mercy and truth iniquity might be purged; that his hope might be in the Lord his God.
Finally, Paul the apostle said, "Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God."

Concerning the ideas, issues, values, and views mentioned or presented on these web pages I believe I am right about them and that they are important. These are not gnat-straining issues, but important and serious camel-swallowing stuff. There should be a pulpit saying so. And that is what this web site and church endeavor is- a pulpit.
